In order to do that we need great talent to join our team and help us develop web-based tools for an enhanced user experience within higher education financial aid applications – then they’ll really remember your name!
You’ll take an active role in the development of the project, both large and small throughout the various phases of the project life cycle – working independently sometimes and also collaboratively throughout the full development life cycle of our software. You’ll be part of a team designing and developing large scale web applications using .NET development, automated testing, SQL reporting tools, and server technologies all that while working with really smart, fun people in an agile development environment. FAME – We’re Financial Aid Management for Education, Inc. We’ve been around for more than 35 years servicing higher education clients with the life cycle of a student. Remember when you filled out your FAFSA each year and like magic you had money for school? (Forget about the paying it back part for now). Remember when you added a class, dropped a class, didn’t go to class – be honest. When you worked in the school library? You backpacked through Europe (YOLO!) and realized you needed that education and went back? When you needed a job after graduation? That’s how people remember OUR name – we create the “magic”. Our software, processing, consulting and client support services help post secondary institutions with the life cycle of a student. From the first FAFSA to graduation and everything in between – we keep over 1,000 schools in compliance with the Department of Education and all other federal agencies. Ok – so this is what we need in order to fly and people to remember your name:
- College – that’s usually where they teach you this stuff – so a Bachelor’s in a related field with about 3-4 years of developing some really complex object- orientated desktop applications.
- 3 yrs of VB.Net desktop application development and strong background in MS ASP.NET
- Expert knowledge of standard web-related languages/specifications, including HTML; CSS and XML
- Strong SSRS experience and WCF Knowledge
- No skyscraper architecture but you’ve gotta have really strong knowledge of client server and internet systems architectures
- Knowledge of Javascript famework (jQuery, knockouts.js, angular.js) a big plus
- If you know Telerik controls and/or web service development – sweet!
- Remember we’re agile – so you have to be able to really communicate – your voice matters and we need you to be enthusiastic – that’s the easy part – it’s a great environment.
- If you’ve worked with post-secondary education, financial aid or other financial application – that really helps us a lot!
