Want the perks of a startup without the "Am I still going to have a job tomorrow?" instability? You've found the right place. Skip down to the "About Red Dog Media" section for all of the perk details.

What we want:

  • We're looking for a great, well-rounded .NET developer to add to our small but awesome development team.

Here are some of the things we're currently doing:

  • Putting the finishing touches on a brand new ElasticSearch cluster, hosted on Rackspace's ObjectRocket, with a custom search algorithm that we're using to search and display some of the Internet data we've indexed

  • Experimenting with an implementation of social data using the Twitter API to help provide more content for our search site

  • Running a small farm of distributed Internet indexers hosted on Amazon EC2 and using S3 for storage

  • Building out our infrastructure to support Yahoo's new Gemini advertising network via Gemini's API - ad publishing, data synchronization, ad bid management, profit analysis, etc. to manage millions of unique ads

  • Managing multiple terabytes (TBs) of data stored in SQL Server

  • Writing basic, boring CRUD app #832 using C# and SQL Server

  • Fixing bugs in and adding small features to our existing WPF (internal) desktop apps and our public-facing ASP.NET websites.

Salary:

  • DOE (depends on experience) - The posted range is not set in stone one way or the other - just a ballpark. We're open to the "golden" candidate on the high end (or higher if worth it) as well as the "not 100% perfect" or junior candidate on the low end, as long as we feel they possess the skills/qualities that we're looking for.
