We're a startup with assumptions to validate and a product to build, refine and improve. You're expertise and input is what you have to offer.

As such, this position will require flexibility, regular coordination and effective communication with the operations, business development, technology and marketing teams. Our team is a diverse yet like minded group of individuals. Our educational background spans pre-med, pre-law, physics, mathematics, computer science, and computer engineering. Our technological background spans Mac, Windows, Linux, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, C#, Android, iOS, and even PHP! Our gaming background ranges from Counter-Strike and Starcraft to foosball and basketball. The engineering team works in a semi-private space of our office giving us an easy platform for collaboration and discussion. We run Agile with week-long sprints. Everyone on the engineering team has a maxed out Retina Macbook Pro with dual screen monitors.
You'll be reporting directly to the VP of Engineering who wrote this job post (Hi!). I enjoy .NET/C# and I'm looking for someone I can off load a lot of the technical responsibility to. I believe .NET/C# is a top strongly typed tech stack with phenomenal tooling and a bright future. In a fast moving world, .NET/C# is beating out Java/JVM given Oracle's poor stewardship of Java. Google's Go and ES6/ES7 are strong but nascent contenders.
We're not a Microsoft shop. We're not an Amazon shop. We're not a Linux shop. We use the right tools for the job and change them when they're no longer a fit for the job.
You'll be primarily focused on the backend platform which includes:
- The APIs our iOS, Android, and Web app consume.
- Partner integrations that power payment origination and payment termination.
- Partner integrations that enable our risk and compliance controls.
- The administrative portal used by our internal teams (compliance, customer service).
