Phillip Capital Inc. is seeking a mid-level software developer to join a small, agile team of developers working on projects across all current lines of business. Upcoming and in-flight software projects include (but are not limited to) public-facing websites, server-side applications that interact with databases and communicate with external systems through various APIs, and applications that extract and manipulate data to create client and regulatory reports.
Quality software is critical to the success of the company, thus this role comes with high visibility. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior developers in the team; mentoring (e.g., code/design reviews, technical presentations, ad-hoc discussions) from senior developers will be available. The developer will be expected and encouraged to grow technically, and will become an integral member of the development team. The development team embraces the need to grow, learn, and keep on top of global technology trends and paradigms.
Primary Responsibilities
- Write new software and enhance existing software using Microsoft .NET technologies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
- Work with other developers to share knowledge and solve coding issues
- Contribute new ideas to improve software practices and processes
- Support production applications during U.S. trading hours as needed
