The Project Leader has overall technical responsibility for development and technical support of a portfolio of worldwide and departmental Finance applications. These applications primarily focus on executive compensation and equity program management.
Working with internal and external developers as well as software vendors and other service providers, the Project Leader interacts with the Partner Services Group, the Database Services (DBA) Group, and the GTO Ops Team (IT Infrastructure) to provide high quality applications, which respond to and meet the business needs of the entire BCG organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Be the primary owner of the PACE (Partner Compensation and Equity) application, a system developed in .net utilizing WPF, WCF, MVVM design pattern on top of SQL Server
- Under the direction of the Manager of Partner Services Applications, work with the Partner Services organization and members of the PSG Systems group in the planning of application development projects and in bringing about the delivery of projects
- Perform hands-on development work, as needed, in both the front-end and back-end areas of our systems
- Direct both internal and external developers
- Have overall responsibility for the technical health of the supported applications, in terms of quality of the program code and operational effectiveness, from a technical standpoint
- Work closely with software vendors in the planning and design of application changes (including upgrades), and on delivery and deployment processes
- Manage the application codebase as well as manage the release process handling all deployments
- Have primary responsibility for local support of all responsible applications
