POSITION
The Delphi developer role is a key position in the CENTAMAN Development team and will work primarily on the maintenance and enhancement of Centaman’s extensive Delphi 7 based applications. Over time you will also gain exposure to Centaman’s newer C# desktop and Angular based web applications.
Our software product is highly sought after for its ability to support all areas of our client’s business including admissions, memberships, reservations, bookings and reporting. We'll be looking for you to be an effective contributor to the success of a strong, high quality and well maintained product to support our global clients within the venue management industry. Our clients operate in a dynamic and fast moving industry and they depend on our solutions to provide a robust platform for their critical operations.
CENTAMAN R&D is based in Sydney, Australia. The successful candidate will help form the basis of an expansion of our R&D team into the North American market to better serve our USA/Canada based clients. You’ll be part of a small Chicago based dev team, reporting to the Sydney based CTO and will have the opportunity to be in on the ground floor of our exciting expansion plans.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining and enhancing Delphi 7 based Win32 applications in response to defect reports and new feature requests raised by our clients and staff
- Continuously improving the code base
- Actively participating and contributing to team planning and sizing meetings
- Following best practice development patterns and producing well engineered and documented code
- Collaborating with the Quality Assurance team to resolve defects and communicate/explain system changes
