Position Summary: Design, develop, and document technology solutions in accordance with department standards to meet University business needs. This may include web, mobile, and server-client applications and their infrastructure. Ensure systems meet specifications, including functionality, security, and performance requirements. Research new technologies and best practices for possible inclusion in department workflows and system development. Develop proof of concepts. Maintain and support existing software and infrastructure to ensure reliable up-time and application performance.
Qualifications/Required Education: Bachelor of Science from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or Computer Systems Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience: 3 years of full-time related experience with team-based software development. Demonstrated programming experience with .NET and SQL.
Preferred Experience: Demonstrated programming experience with ASP.NET and MVC, in addition to required experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.): C#, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. A broad spectrum of knowledge and experiences including but not limited to: hardware, software engineering, web development, enterprise systems management, cyber security, system and business analysis.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.): ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server, Oracle, IIS, PHP, jQuery, Xamarin, mobile technologies, in addition to required skills.
