As the primary developer for Amazon Legal's Intellectual Property systems, you will have the opportunity to work directly with your customers, owning major deliverables across all aspects of development: scoping, design, implementation, and testing. Ideal candidates can multi-task, quickly adapt to new development environments, write highly maintainable code, and love creating simple solutions to difficult problems. You enjoy working with a mix of development frameworks/tools (C#, Asp.Net, MS SQL, and SharePoint) as well as leveraging the latest in cloud platform technologies via Amazon Web Services.

- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years object oriented development with C#, Java, or similar
- 2+ years SQL syntax and technologies (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to deep dive into unfamiliar systems to troubleshoot network, server, database, or application issues
- Experience communicating directly with end users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services or equivalent cloud programming preferred
- Experience with Intellectual Property systems a bonus, but not required
- 3+ years developing web applications with ASP.NET MVC, Ruby on Rails, or similar
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
