Web Developer—ASP.net
We're seeking a highly motivated C#/ASP.NET web developer to join an Agile develop team in maintaining highly utilized customer facing web applications. The Web Developer is highly competent with web-based programming tools and languages. Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms and SOAP is highly desirable; MVC framework and WebAPI is a plus. The ability to write highly testable, loosely coupled code and meaningful automated tests for new and legacy code is essential. Experience with version control (Subversion or Git) is expected.
Essential Functions:
• Participate on an Agile (Scrum) team, contribute to complexity and time estimates, identify risks, and contribute to regular scope discussions and commitments.
• Communicate regularly with management, stakeholders, and team members to define, deliver, and ensure quality of application improvements.
• Author and maintain databases, code, and automated tests according to team-adopted practices, disciplines, and quality guidelines.
• Ensure that application architecture and code adheres to internally adopted patterns and styles, and meets functional, performance, and security requirements.
• Ensure that activities adhere to all company, IT, and security administrative policies and procedures including PCI DSS compliance and OWASP best practices.
• Be knowledgeable of trends and proven practices in web development and educational technology.
• Proactively identify potential problems and opportunities to improve applications and processes.
• Respond promptly to support requests, escalating concerns to management as necessary.
