This opening is for a junior to mid-level Mobile developer to participate in projects ranging from cross-platform mobile application development on our line of field data collection apps to web and GIS development on a number of web-based reporting systems. The ideal candidate will be a full-stack developer with database and mid-tier development experience as well as advanced Javascript and HTML skills. He or she will bring an existing portfolio of apps demonstrating experience developing native Android and/or iOS apps and will help lead our initiative to commercialize our mobile data collection and reporting platform for fisheries data using Xamarin.
This position requires strong time management skills to be successful on multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will report to a technical project manager and will participate in 2-4 person teams, as well as engaging with clients regularly. Compensation for this full-time salaried position will depend on experience, and will include health insurance benefits and paid vacation time. The job must be performed on site in either Juneau, AK or Portland, OR. (Portland preferred.) Travel, housing, and/or relocation support are negotiable.
