Director of Software Development at SpendBridge (Indianapolis, IN)

If you are a hands-on software development leader with a strong Agile background who loves rolling their sleeves up and getting their hands dirty with the development team, you will love working with us!

We are seeking a Director of Software Development, based in Indianapolis, to fulfill these roles. The Director of Software Development will primarily be responsible for leading our development team in continuing to enhance and support our flagship SaaS product, SpendBridge. Additionally, the Director of Technology will oversee our IT department to ensure that our operational technologies align with our development technologies to deliver amazing service to our customers and keep our staff connected.

As part of this small but growing organization, the Director of Software Development leads and directly impacts the architecture, design, and implementation of our product and services. This position is an ideal fit for someone who enjoys variety, collaboration, innovation, and autonomy.

What You Will Be Doing

Software
Development Management
(50%) - Lead a
top-notch software development team who are working on full project
life-cycles, designing, developing, QAing and implementing a high-transition
volume e-commerce application. Consult with development team on technical and
architectural decisions while driving best practices and leading the SCRUM process. Act as part of product owner team to help plan and
implement product roadmap and consult on technical feasibility. Manage development and testing environments along with associated deployments.

IT Operations (20%) - Oversee our IT operations and
infrastructure, ranging from desktop support to both our private and public
cloud with support from our Systems Administrator.

Development (20%)- Support development team directly by doing
supplemental development and coding as needed.

Escalation
Leadership
(5%) Support client
services team with special technical issues affecting existing customers as
needed.

Personnel &
Performance Management
(5%)-
Conduct performance reviews, handle personnel issues, set goals for growth,
determine bonuses, manage schedules of IT team which includes developers and
Systems Administrator.
