MetroStar Systems is an award-winning Information Technology solutions provider. We are seeking a result oriented .NET / SharePoint developer to join the MetroStar team at a customer site in downtown Washington, DC. This position is 80% .NET and 20% SharePoint.
The .NET / SharePoint developer is responsible for supporting and developing mission critical web applications and SharePoint sites.
Security Clearance: Must have an Active Secret Clearance
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide Tier 2 end user support for intranet (i.e., system enhancements and upgrades)
- Design and develop InfoPath 2010/2013 Forms
- Design and Develop Web Applications using .NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and XSLT
- Software development experience including: OOP, Visual Studio, Windows Communication Foundation, RESTful service implementation, Service Oriented Architecture, and SQL Server
- Communicate with Microsoft technical support and customer infrastructure staff to resolve issues related to intranet
- Work with business systems development staff to integrate applications
- Conduct testing to support intranet enhancements including all code changes, configuration changes and system upgrades
- Establish and publish performance metric reports on a regular basis
- Administer the SharePoint Intranet search engine (i.e., configuring, monitoring and reporting)
- Analyze and troubleshoot problems within Intranet environment
- Display data, charts and dashboards using SharePoint 2010/2013 Excel Services / Business Intelligence
- Manage software artifacts using Team Foundation Server
- Customize SharePoint Sites using SharePoint Designer 2010 and 2013
- Design and develop InfoPath 2010/2013 Forms
- Manage software artifacts using Team Foundation Server
- Customize SharePoint Sites using SharePoint Designer 2010 and 2013
- Perform master page deployments
- Optimize pages for peak performance
- Implement style sheets, templates and workflows for content types
- Design and develop user interface elements in SharePoint
- Develop and administer SharePoint web parts, application pages, timer jobs, workflows and InfoPath forms
- Build, configure and integrate 2010/2013 SharePoint websites
- Architect and Implement web services, business objects, and other middle-tier framework using the .NET framework
Qualifications
Educational/Training Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or at least six years of software engineering experience
Experience:
- ASP.NET and SharePoint object model experience required
- Must have experience designing and developing.NET web applications that interact with enterprise databases and web services
- Need to know SharePoint front-end admin configuration, front-end custom development using SharePoint Designer, and back-end custom development using Visual Studio
- 7 years' experience developing web applications
- 7 years' experience developing using the .NET framework
- Experience developing using OOP methodology
- Experience developing in Agile environments
- Experience designing WCF and ASP.net Web Services
- Management and coordination experience with large systems rollout
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, particularly with a customer focus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of .NET Framework, C#, AJAX, JS, jQuery, HTML, CSS, ADO.NET, LINQ, Visual Studio 2010/2012
- At least one year of experience in SharePoint front-end administration (for example, administering lists, views, web parts, etc. with Full Control)
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
- Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions
