THE ROLES
Many of the outputs that PDS produces are reports, publications and data. A new team has been created to support publications-related work and products and to take care of the end to end process.
From smaller systems to larger complex systems the Software Developer will help specify, design and develop a range of in house publishing systems taking responsibility for design, coding and documentation. As a Developer you will ensure all work carried out is well documented using appropriate standards, methods and tools.
We are looking for someone who is proficient in in.NET and C# with Agile Development Process experience. You must have an analytical approach to problem solving and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff at all levels.

We are currently looking for a Software Developer who has:
- Experience to proficient level in .NET v.4.0 C#
- Some knowledge of XML and XSLT
- Effective team working skills to ensure constructive use of everyone’s skills and experience within the team
- A systematic and analytical approach to problem solving.
DESIRABLE
- Word Development using add-ins using VSTO
- Experience in publishing industry

Permanent
As a Software Developer you will help specify, design and develop a range of systems taking responsibility for the design, coding and documentation. As a Developer you will ensure all work carried out is well documented using appropriate standards, methods and tools. You will experience an array of technologies, from the relatively simple business process application to highly complex lightly coupled SOA architectures, API platforms, and the Semantic web.
We are looking dynamic and motivated developer with an agile development process background. Being proficient in C# .Net you must have an analytical approach to problem solving for both new and existing projects and be able to build relationships and work very closely with our customers.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
We are currently looking for a Software Developer who has:
- 3+ years’ experience using .NET v.4.0 or above with C#
- 2+ years’ experience using ASP.NET MVC Framework
- Effective team working skills to ensure constructive use of everyone’s skills and experience within the team
- Agile Development Process experience, ideally scrum using TDD.
- The ability to work across the Full software development lifecycle
