FLSA STATUS:    Exempt                                                DEPARTMENT: Development


SUMMARY:


We are a closely collaborative team of developers looking for people to join us as we expand to build exciting, world class products for a rapidly growing market.   As a front-end developer you will be helping us create and expand applications using modern front end frameworks and RESTful APIs with focus on creating highly usable and engaging interfaces.  We are looking for people who can thrive in a highly collaborative environment and find creative solutions using the latest technology.  You should be an enthusiastic and active contributor to the product and the team and be excited to learn something new every day. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Responsible for programming, maintenance, technical support, documentation and administration of apps utilizing Web technologies.

  • Proficient in HTML, JS, and CSS development.  Strives to create simple, extensible, secure, scalable, well-performing, tested and maintainable code.  Adheres to internal and external guidelines for development best practices.

  • Performs thorough testing of own developed code through manual/unit testing activities.

  • Participates in all aspects of the product lifecycle including: requirements analysis, design, specifications, development, testing and deployment.  Comfortable providing recommendations for product and process improvement.

  • Productive.  Able to code/test efficiently and effectively within target timeframes and stay focused despite various obstacles or challenges that may present themselves.  Flexible - adapts well to last minute changes.

  • Provides tiered troubleshooting assistance for internal and external issues including limited on-call production support.

  • Self-starter.  Displays initiative and confidence.  Capable of identifying risk, weighing options, and making quick, sound and objective decisions.

  • Effectively works on multiple internal and external projects and development/testing initiatives.

  • Tracks and reports development progress and performance on a regular basis.


SKILLS REQUIRED



  • 2-5 years of hands-on development of enterprise level web applications using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

  • Solid documentation and oral communication skills
