The ideal candidate has an established track record of technical leadership and hands-on team coaching experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for developing a diverse, high performance team aligned to technical and business strategy
- Accountable for maintaining transparency into the state of a team’s initiatives including expected delivery date, dependencies, and impediments
- Improve the ability of team’s capabilities both technically and operationally
- Manage complex projects which can cross team boundaries; often addressing requirements and objectives which may initially be ambiguous and need to be refined by working with the Product Owner
- Clearly articulate and communicate expectations around delivery dates as projects commence and as they run
- Proactively monitor and identify metrics that can effectively report the overall health of projects and systems to mitigate risk and resolve issues before they are experienced by other groups/clients
- Establish goals and prioritize work assignments of direct reports based on direction from the VP of Software Engineering
- Work with the Chief Architect to contribute to and drive the execution of the technical roadmap based on input from the business and product advisory boards
- Conduct performance reviews of team members and coach them along their paths to continued professional development
- Help teams establish a consistent process based on good software practices such as Agile, Scrum & Lean.
