We're looking for a software engineer who can bring their passion and skills to bear in a fast-growing startup - we've gone from 7 schools to over 100 in two years, and plan to be in 10,000 in the next two years.
As we expand to more schools around Australia and internationally, we need more people with great technical skills to join our team. You would join an existing team of two other software developers (including one of the founders). We like flexibility, so depending on the mix of skills you bring, you could work on backend (mostly Web API and Cassandra), frontend (HTML5, JavaScript, even CSS), or a combination of both (see below for more on tech skills that we need).
We follow an adapted version of Scrum methodology to run the entire company, so you’ll be working in one- to two-week sprints based on what is a priority that that point (no experience in Scrum necessary). You’ll get a bit of hand-holding at the beginning while we acclimatise you to the system, the team and our customers, but you will need to be prepared to be independent.
