Basic responsibilities include:
•Programming complex, multi-tier front and backend applications using, as well as providing operational support for existing applications
•Developing layered applications, including user interface, business functionality, and database access
•Developing innovative solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, aggressive implementation schedules, reporting, and adherence to development goals and principles
•Troubleshooting and resolving issues in a time-critical environment
•Communicating with business units to architect effective solutions
•Effectively managing project resources for small projects
Qualifications:
•2-5 years of programming experience in Java, or C#
•Experience using current technologies including ASP.NET, SQL Server, stored procedures
•Knowledge of Microsoft SQL, AJAX, HTML/CSS, and exception handling
•Experience with other development technologies such as Gosu, Jenkins, or Hudson
•Working knowledge of relational databases and basic Windows system administration
•Experience using Agile software development methodologies
•Property Casualty Insurance experience a plus
